On October 15, we celebrate Roberto Clemente Day at Community School 55 — honoring a hero whose legacy goes far beyond baseball.
Roberto Clemente stood for excellence, courage, and service to others. His words remind us what true leadership looks like:
“Anytime you have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and you don’t, then you are wasting your time on Earth.”
At CS 55 in the Bronx, we teach our students to live that truth every day — to use their voice, their heart, and their gifts to uplift the community. Just like Clemente did.
